20.04.2008 - STM continues to expand its ship management activities
Swiss Tanker Management (STM) has been entrusted with two more tankers on commercial management from MBX Shipping Ltd.
M/T Abai, built December 2005, was delivered early this month in Kaliningrad and is presently trading in North West Europe. Her sister vessel, M/T Makhambet, built March 2007, will be delivered in Vyborg at the end of April following her yard dock guarantee. Both vessels were built in Vyborg. Their shallow draft of 7 meters makes them excellent cargo lifters in restricted ports.
MBX Shipping Ltd together with its affiliated companies also owns two dry cargo vessels operating in the Mediterranean region, and one other sister tanker, operating in the Caspian Sea.
STM is the commercial management arm of the Riverlake group. It represents the ideal tool for clients who wish to increase their shipping exposure or more simply, want to enter the shipping industry without the tools and/or the knowledge to do it. STM ensures clients’ vessels are optimised in terms of price, position and quality in order to maximise returns. It is STM strategy to increase its portfolio of clients and number of ships on management, which presently consists of seven units ranging from 12'200 to 105'000 dwt with an average age of 2.5 years.
